Say Goodbye to Spreadsheets
For months, our most requested feature has been a more powerful and flexible way to manage budgets. We listened closely, and today we're incredibly excited to launch the Smart Budgets section in Monelyx.
What's New?
We've redesigned the budgeting experience from the ground up, focusing on three pillars:
- Flexibility by Category: You can now create a budget for one or several categories. Want a general budget for "Leisure" that includes "Movies," "Restaurants," and "Concerts"? Now you can.
- Customizable Periods: Choose from weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual budgets to perfectly match your income and expense cycle.
- Clear Progress Visualization: On your dashboard and in the budgets section, you'll see color-coded progress bars that show you how you're doing at a glance. Green is good, yellow is a warning, and red means it's time to review your spending.
How to Get Started
It's very easy:
- Go to the new "Budgets" section in the sidebar.
- Click on "New Budget."
- Give it a name, assign an amount, choose the categories, and you're done!
Monelyx will take care of the rest, automatically tracking expenses for those categories and updating your progress.
